Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service or supervisory roles preferred
- Ability to work full-time including occasional nights and weekends
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must complete sanitation certification within the first year
- Ability to train and mentor staff
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to maintain food safety standards
- Capability to perform multi-tasking and operate in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year
- Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- Strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies
- Ensure food items are stored safely and in an organized manner
- Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications
- Maintain sanitary department according to health and safety codes
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders as needed
- Supervise and evaluate employees
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Recommend equipment replacement
- Multi-task efficiently
- Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
- Fill in for absent employees
- Manage daily catering events and ensure on-time delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events
- Attend staff meetings
- Maintain communication with staff
- Perform cashier duties as needed
- Promote good public relations
