Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to handle multitasking and stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • Ensure food items are stored safely and organized
  • Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed
  • Supervise and evaluate employees
  • Counsel and promote employee growth and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklists
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Maintain knowledge of catering events and confirm preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
