Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary associate's degree or relevant culinary experience
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Possess a culinary associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Two years of similar food and beverage, chef, and cooking experience
- Ability to work a varied shift to include weekends, holidays, and evenings
Job Duties
- Oversee product consistency and make necessary modifications according to business needs
- Multifaceted decision making in collaboration with the Chef and Department Executives, including but not limited to proper ordering, guest assistance, and working with the front of the house
- Manage employee payroll, scheduling, training, and discipline
- Conduct training for Master cooks, cooks, pantry workers, helpers and kitchen workers on job responsibilities
- Assist Executive Room Chef by controlling food and labor costs, establish goals, and objectives that focus on profit, product and people
- Assist in overseeing kitchen-related activities pertaining to the normal operation of the restaurant, menu and staff
- Create, read, measure and execute recipes and new daily specials
