Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years culinary experience in scratch cooking establishments
- CRT-ServSafe Manager certification required upon hire
- Ability to participate in physical demands such as lifting occasionally up to 30 pounds, standing and walking frequently
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Compliance with Corewell Health vaccination requirements including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza
- Ability to work within approved budget and manage resources effectively
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years culinary experience in scratch cooking establishments
- CRT-ServSafe Manager - NRA National Restaurant Association upon hire required
- Associate's Degree or equivalent in food service or culinary arts preferred
- Minimum 2 years of nutrition services management experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Experience working with unions preferred
Job Duties
- Provides oversight for assigned areas of the Nutrition Services department
- Maintains current knowledge of business operations and management techniques
- Participates in the collection and accountable for key success metrics
- Monitors results
- Ensures that department performance expectations are met for their assigned areas
- Participates in the development of strategic long and short-term goals and plans for functions in assigned site
- Provides input into annual budget
- Manages assigned resources within approved budget and monitors financial results
- Interviews, hires, orients, coaches and develops staff members
- Assigns duties and responsibilities, evaluates performance, provides feedback and takes corrective action as needed
- Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Models the behaviors embodied in the mission of Corewell Health
- Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment including sanitation and using tools and equipment appropriately
