Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of Culinary Arts School or equivalent technical training in Food & Beverage
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of food and labor costs
  • Record of satisfactory performance and reliability
  • Professional appearance as outlined by company policies
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including cutting boards, mixers, pourers, and knives
  • Willingness to work under mentally and physically stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of restaurant industry work including two years of progressive supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Asian/Pacific Rim cuisines preferred
  • Budget and P&L knowledge and experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment preferred

Job Duties

  • Establishes and ensures adherence to standard operating procedures for BOH kitchen operations including performance standards
  • Oversees the operation of assigned outlet kitchens
  • Provides direct supervision, training, development, coaching, and documentation for kitchen staff
  • Maintains high food quality and guest service while managing food, labor, and other expenses at budgeted levels
  • Maintains cleanliness of all BOH areas
  • Keeps kitchen equipment in proper working order
  • Communicates and collaborates with FOH and BOH management to ensure quality team member and guest dining experience
  • Assists with hiring and development of personnel
  • Administers performance appraisals and provides coaching and operational support
  • Coordinates with kitchen and food and beverage management regarding menu format
  • Handles cash transactions as needed
  • Performs Food-Beverage Supervisor duties as assigned
  • Adheres to attendance guidelines and complies with company policies in an ethical manner
