Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of Culinary Arts School or equivalent technical training in Food and Beverage
  • Knowledge of food and labor costs
  • Professional appearance as outlined in company handbook
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Record of satisfactory performance and reliability in prior employment

  • Five years of restaurant industry experience preferred
  • Two years of progressive supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Asian/Pacific Rim cuisines preferred
  • Budget and P&L experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products preferred

Job Duties

  • Establish and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for BOH kitchen operations
  • Provide direct supervision, training, development, and coaching for kitchen staff
  • Maintain high levels of food quality and guest service while managing food, labor, and expenses within budget
  • Ensure cleanliness of all back of house areas
  • Keep kitchen equipment in proper working order
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting as assigned
  • Foster a positive work environment in the BOH kitchen and coordinate with FOH management to enhance guest experiences
  • Assist in hiring and development of kitchen personnel
  • Administer performance appraisals, set expectations, and provide coaching
  • Coordinate menu format with Buffet Manager, Executive Chef, and Food and Beverage Manager
  • May handle cash transactions as breaker or cashier replacement
  • Perform duties of Food-Beverage Supervisor as needed
  • Adhere to attendance guidelines and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
