Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a kitchen or culinary environment
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong teamwork and leadership abilities
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • culinary training or equivalent experience
  • prior kitchen leadership experience preferred
  • ability to create unique and appealing dishes
  • experience in menu planning and development
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • assist Executive Chef when Executive Chef is present
  • act on behalf of Executive Chef when Executive Chef is absent in matters of organizing, training and employee management
  • assist Executive Chef to prepare necessary data for applicable parts of the budget
  • project annual food, labor and other costs and monitor actual financial results
  • take corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are met
  • regularly create unique dishes and menu items for daily features and specialty events
  • consult with guests to meet dietary restrictions and palate preferences
