  • Two years cooking experience in a fine dining hotel environment
  • Experience in a culinary leadership role
  • ServSafe certified
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Valid SC driver's license

  • Three years of cooking experience in continuing care retirement communities assisted living or long term care industry
  • Knowledge of SC DHEC regulations
  • Associates degree in Culinary Arts

Job Duties

  • Ensure items are produced and dated according to specification and labeling system is adhered to correctly
  • Adhere to and help implement safety and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness through shift to ensure quality product
  • Assist in training and monitoring employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity with minimum labor and food expenses
  • Inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean sanitary and in perfect operating order
  • Ensure that food products presentation temperature and plating are of the highest quality and are prepared to serve in a timely manner
  • Serve as a backup for the Executive Chef in his or her absence
  • Monitor holding and storage operations stocking and food rotation
