Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience working in a kitchen, preferably in a supervisory or sous chef role
- knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- ability to work the designated shift from friday to tuesday, 11 am to 7 pm
- strong leadership skills
- ability to work under general supervision
- good communication skills
- physical ability to handle kitchen duties and stand for extended periods

Job Duties
- work with the executive chef to manage and mentor kitchen staff
- demonstrate advanced culinary skills to prepare meals with nutritional value and creative appeal
- prepare the planned menu in the absence of the executive chef
- supervise all kitchen team members
- ensure all foods are prepared and cooked according to specified recipes and procedures
- assure that foods served meet standards of portion, doneness, freshness, and presentation
- present oneself professionally to ensure resident satisfaction in the dining department
