Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen supervisory role
- Strong culinary and foodservice safety knowledge
- ServSafe Manager certification preferred
- Ability to work a seasonal schedule with open availability Monday through Sunday between 6:30 am and 9:00 pm
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks
- Ability to lead and manage foodservice staff
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a high-volume foodservice operation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and ServSafe Manager certification preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and participating in reviews
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
- Tracks product production, consumption and waste
- Informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- Performs other duties as assigned
