Job Requirements

  • Culinary internship, apprenticeship or degree preferred
  • Minimum two years supervising or peer trainer experience
  • At least three years culinary experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Manager Food Safety certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary internship, apprenticeship or degree preferred
  • Two years of supervising or peer trainer experience required
  • Three years' culinary experience required
  • Good computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams and OneNote desirable
  • Knowledge of culinary applications such as ChefTech desirable
  • Manager Food Safety certification required within 30 days of starting position

Job Duties

  • Recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching, discipline and conducting performance appraisals for direct reports
  • Creating schedules and approving employees' time, time off and shift changes
  • Assigning, training, supporting and directing staff to maximize efficiency and performance
  • Coaching, developing and providing feedback for staff career growth
  • Managing day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Ensuring culinary team readiness and station setup for each meal period
  • Conducting spot-checks to ensure adherence to recipes and maintaining food quality
