Job Duties
- Lead a small kitchen team supporting daily operations
- Execute assigned kitchen tasks with moderate supervision
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing food budgets and meeting financial goals
- Train kitchen staff on dish specifications and cooking standards
- Order food products to maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Prepare food for service according to sales demands
- Monitor stock levels and ensure proper stock rotation
- Set standards and pace by leading by example
- Manage disciplinary issues in coordination with management
- Conduct team communication through meetings and training
- Promote a shared vision of success among staff
- Perform daily line checks and food tastings
- Ensure timely and correctly sequenced food presentation
- Maintain food preparation and storage according to health and safety regulations
- Ensure adequate kitchen stock for smooth meal service
- Foster respectful and positive workplace relations
- Maintain a fun and positive attitude at work
- Promote a positive company image internally and externally
