Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sous chef or culinary supervisory experience
- Knowledge of OSHA, Health Department, and HACCP guidelines
- Strong leadership and training skills
- Ability to work weekends 1 pm to 9 pm
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently
- Adherence to safety and sanitation protocols
- Effective communication skills
- Completion of HSEQ training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a sous chef or in a similar culinary supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of OSHA, Health Department, and HACCP regulations
- Proficiency in food preparation and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage inventory and food purchasing
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with food cost control and budget management
- Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness provide a safe environment for employees and guests
- Follow workplace safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
- Adhere to food safety and HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
- Provide highest quality of service according to ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
- Utilize food preparation procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist Executive Chef with administrative duties including attendance and human resources
- Monitor and review HACCP logs
- Assemble RTE menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
- Support management team with monthly inventory
- Notify management of concerns with product quantities or safety issues
- Attend all daily meetings
- Report accidents and injuries promptly
- Train and supervise staff
- Supervise proper uniform standards
- Assist in staff reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure all training standards are met and documented
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions
- Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
- Communicate with clients accurately and timely
- Review weekly participation and make budget-related recommendations
- Maintain and monitor labor to meet budgets
- Ensure food cost meets budget goals
- Oversee daily café appearance and upkeep
- Supervise proper food presentation
- Edit daily signage for accuracy and allergen info
- Ensure all kitchen waste is disposed of sustainably as directed
- Adhere to HSEQ policies and report hazards or compliance concerns
