Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or its equivalent
  • two or more years of experience in food service or a related area
  • proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • strong versatile cooking skills
  • knowledge of various cuisines and presentation styles
  • ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • meticulous in food preparation and presentation
  • resilient and adaptable under pressure

Job Duties

  • supervise, train, and mentor kitchen employees, and assist with hiring
  • ensure all food is prepared according to standards for taste, quality, and portion size
  • assist with menu planning, recipe development, and managing the kitchen's daily operations
  • help with inventory counts, food cost tracking, ordering supplies, and managing invoices
  • enforce health and safety standards and train staff on proper protocols
  • step in to manage the kitchen entirely during the Food Service Manager's absence
