Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory culinary role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive culinary environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and evenings
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Relevant culinary education or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a high-volume, professional kitchen environment
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations
  • Ability to manage and lead a culinary team effectively
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Experience with menu planning and event catering preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations
  • Ensure preparation and production of all hotel meals meet high standards
  • Maintain food quality and presentation consistently
  • Enforce compliance with safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Manage team member productivity and performance through supervision and training
  • Implement culinary policies and cost controls to optimize profitability
  • Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events
  • Support dinner service for in-room dining and the Veranda
  • Monitor and develop team member performance including counseling and evaluations
