Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory culinary role
- Experience working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive culinary environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and evenings
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Job Qualifications
- Relevant culinary education or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in a high-volume, professional kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations
- Ability to manage and lead a culinary team effectively
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
- Experience with menu planning and event catering preferred
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations
- Ensure preparation and production of all hotel meals meet high standards
- Maintain food quality and presentation consistently
- Enforce compliance with safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Manage team member productivity and performance through supervision and training
- Implement culinary policies and cost controls to optimize profitability
- Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events
- Support dinner service for in-room dining and the Veranda
- Monitor and develop team member performance including counseling and evaluations
