Job Requirements

  • aas in culinary arts or equivalent from an accredited university or institute
  • previous culinary experience preferred
  • strong organizational, management, culinary, communication, and motivational skills
  • proficiency in food and beverage hospitality industry control procedures
  • strong background in cost efficiency kitchen management and regional cuisine
  • knowledge of production and presentation methods
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, taste, and smell
  • ServSafe sanitation certification
  • acf certification preferred

Job Duties

  • advise executive chef on all kitchen matters and ensure cleanliness and hygienic practice throughout the kitchen
  • manage employees including culinary staff, servers, and stewarding personnel
  • direct, coordinate, and evaluate restaurant unit operations
  • carry out supervision in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work tasks
  • appraise employee performance and administer rewards and discipline
  • address complaints and resolve workplace problems
