Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • minimum 2 years of culinary or kitchen management experience
  • proven ability to supervise and lead a culinary team
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • ability to comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experience helpful
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, and Internet
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates
  • ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • collaborate with Executive Chef on ordering and inventory management
