Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a commercial kitchen
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Capability to lift or move goods up to 100 lbs on a regular basis
- Availability to work regularly and adhere to attendance policies
- Willingness to work collaboratively and assist team members
- Commitment to maintaining professional appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen supervision or culinary management
- Knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper food preparation
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to train, coach, and discipline employees
- Familiarity with health department regulations
- Ability to operate food machinery with dexterity
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
Job Duties
- Assign specific duties to kitchen staff for efficient operation
- Assist Executive Chef with personnel functions including interviewing, training, and performance evaluations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in menu preparation
- Schedule culinary staff to maintain proper coverage and control payroll costs
- Communicate clear directions to staff verbally and in writing
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products to comply with health regulations
- Adhere to cost and quality control procedures
