Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in kitchen supervision or culinary management
  • Strong knowledge of food products, recipes, and preparation methods
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to train, coach, and discipline staff effectively
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food service
  • Ability to operate kitchen machinery

Job Duties

  • Assign specific duties to kitchen staff for efficient operation
  • Assist Executive Chef with interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in menu item preparation
  • Schedule culinary staff to maintain coverage and control payroll costs
  • Communicate effectively with staff verbally and in writing
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations for food receiving, storage, and rotation
  • Adhere to cost and quality control procedures
