Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in kitchen supervision or culinary management
- Strong knowledge of food products, recipes, and preparation methods
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to train, coach, and discipline staff effectively
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food service
- Ability to operate kitchen machinery
Job Duties
- Assign specific duties to kitchen staff for efficient operation
- Assist Executive Chef with interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in menu item preparation
- Schedule culinary staff to maintain coverage and control payroll costs
- Communicate effectively with staff verbally and in writing
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations for food receiving, storage, and rotation
- Adhere to cost and quality control procedures
