Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- minimum of 3 years in a similar supervisory role
- must have state issued Health Certificate and required immunizations
- flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- ability to stand for extended periods
- must have Serve Safe certification
- capable of lifting heavy objects
- strong communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- proficient in computer software including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- physical ability to perform kitchen tasks
- customer service orientation
- knowledge of food safety standards
- detail-oriented and able to multitask
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- minimum of 3 years in a similar position in an upscale banquet, hotel or convention center setting with supervisory experience
- state issued Health Certificate and immunizations required
- technical proficiency in food preparation methods

- ability to distribute responsibility to meet objectives

Job Duties
- Supervises all line set-up, prep and breakdown activities
- supervises all buffet, beverage, break, and carving table set-up and breakdown
- assists Executive Chef with kitchen record keeping and administrative requirements including food inventories and ordering
- measures, mixes and cooks ingredients according to recipes
- uses various pots, pans, knives and equipment to prepare and serve food
- maintains a clean kitchen and food production areas with no food debris
- provides ongoing assistance, training and mentoring to kitchen staff
- monitors food quality, portion control, and kitchen timings
- ensures food safety standards are followed
- communicates effectively with supervisors, peers and subordinates
- makes decisions and solves problems
- organizes, plans and prioritizes work
- documents and records personnel discipline information
- performs other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
