Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a line cook
  • Valid health and sanitation certification
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and additional hours
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years as line cook
  • Prefer culinary training
  • Health and sanitation card
  • Ability to communicate and follow instructions
  • Experience working in indoor, fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Responsible for proper preparation, excellence of product, profit and labor cost
  • Organize and help in the service of all activities concerning a la carte, employee meals and private dining rooms
  • Consistent preparation and presentation based on overall standards, including portion size, of daily special, salads, entrees, etc.
  • Train, supervise, direct and/or performance manage employees when needed
  • Attend food and beverage meetings, banquet meetings, and line up
  • Prepare work schedules for the kitchen crew, monitor payroll costs and Kronos reports
  • Order, receive and rotate food and kitchen goods properly
  • Develop menus for a la carte and banquet needs and special requests
  • Expedite meal periods ensuring quality, portioning and presentation
  • Adhere to all cleaning schedules and kitchen sanitation duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas including equipment and waste areas
  • Assist employees, members, and guests delivering the 3 steps of service
  • Address and rectify member/guest complaints promptly
  • Interact professionally with members and guests facilitating changes and last-minute requests
