Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar supervisory culinary role in banquet, hotel or convention center
- State issued Health Certificate
- Required immunizations
- Serve Safe certification
- Ability to work variable event-driven schedule including nights and weekends
- Capacity to stand for long periods
- Good physical fitness to perform kitchen tasks including lifting and fast movements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Must be self-directed and team-oriented
- Must be able to train and supervise kitchen staff
- Must be detail oriented, multi-tasker
- Must have good sense of taste and smell
- Flexible to work long hours
- Able to problem-solve and make quick decisions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum of 3 years in similar position in an upscale banquet, hotel or convention center setting with supervisory experience
- State issued Health Certificate and immunizations
- Technical proficiency in food preparation methods

Job Duties
- Supervises all line set-up, prep and breakdown activities
- Supervises all buffet, beverage, break and carving table set-up and breakdown
- Assists Executive Chef with kitchen record keeping and administrative tasks including food inventories and ordering
- Measures, mixes, and cooks ingredients according to recipes
- Uses kitchen equipment such as pots, pans, knives to prepare and serve food
- Maintains a clean kitchen environment with no food debris
- Provides ongoing training, coaching and mentoring to kitchen staff
- Ensures food quality, consistency, and adherence to safety standards
- Monitors events, materials, and surroundings
- Guides, directs, and motivates kitchen employees
- Ensures compliance with food safety standards
- Communicates effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
- Makes decisions, solves problems, and prioritizes work
- Evaluates information against standards
- Documents and records personnel discipline information
- Performs other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
