Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar position with prior supervisory experience
- State issued health certificate and required immunizations
- Serve Safe certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects
- Ability to make fast, repetitive movements with fingers, hands and wrists
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with arms and legs
- Ability to speak clearly
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
- Ability to use computer software including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in upscale banquet, hotel or convention center with supervisory responsibilities
- State issued health certificate and required immunizations
- Technical proficiency in food preparation methods
- Effective communication and active listening skills
- Ability to train, motivate and counsel staff
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Detail oriented with multi-tasking abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Serve Safe certification
- Proficiency in computer software including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to supervise, coach and train employees
- Customer service oriented
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Ability to express ideas clearly orally and in writing
- Ability to read and understand written information

- Knowledge of mathematics including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics
- Knowledge of US Foods Menu Profit Pro is a plus
Job Duties
- Supervise all line set-up, prep and breakdown activities
- Supervise buffet, beverage, break, and carving table set-up and breakdown including necessary equipment
- Assist Executive Chef with kitchen record keeping, food inventories, and ordering
- Organize employee work schedules ensuring coverage for all kitchen areas
- Measure, mix and cook ingredients according to recipes
- Use various equipment to prepare and serve food
- Maintain a clean kitchen and surrounding food production areas
- Provide ongoing training, mentoring and assistance to kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation standards are met
- Monitor events, materials, and surroundings
- Guide, direct and motivate kitchen employees
- Ensure food safety standards are followed
- Communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
- Make decisions and solve problems
- Organize, plan and prioritize work
- Evaluate information against standards
- Implement ideas, programs, systems or products
- Document and work with HR on personnel discipline
- Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
