Job Requirements

  • 5 or more years of culinary experience with supervisory background
  • Food Handler's Card
  • General computer knowledge
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to execute and produce banquet events
  • Ability to cost out menus and specials for sale
  • Knowledge of inventory and extensions of items for end of month

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary experience of 5 or more years
  • Supervisory background with restaurant staff preferred
  • Food Handler's Card
  • General computer knowledge
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Experience in costing menus and specials
  • Knowledge of inventory management and end-of-month inventory extensions

Job Duties

  • Assist the Chef in food preparation including retrieving items from storage and prepping salads and soups
  • Supervise kitchen staff during assigned shifts and participate in scheduling and employee evaluations
  • Manage purchasing of food items, inventory control, and menu planning under the Chef's direction
  • Check invoices upon delivery and communicate with suppliers regarding any shortages or mistakes
  • Ensure proper storage of products to maintain perishable item temperatures
  • Execute banquet events and coordinate food production and presentation according to instructions
  • Organize coolers and freezers to maintain food safety and quality
