Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs
- Exposure to heat steam and cold temperatures within the kitchen environment
- Ability to perform sedentary office work including sitting at a computer
- Ability to lift push pull and carry up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity coordination for chopping cutting and food preparation
- Ability to bend stoop and kneel
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings weekends holidays and event driven shifts
Job Qualifications
- 3 plus years of culinary experience with leadership preferred
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
- Knowledge of food safety sanitation standards and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent communication and computer skills including MS Office proficiency
- ServSafe Alcohol Certification and ServSafe food handler certification or Title 4 may be required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays based on event needs
Job Duties
- Oversee and manage kitchen staff ensuring training and adherence to Levy standards
- Execute menus in accordance with Levy Core Signatures and brand standards
- Collaborate with senior culinary leadership to create and implement diverse and innovative menus
- Foster a positive team-oriented work environment through communication recognition and accountability
- Assist in performance management including development counseling and corrective action
- Enforce food safety and sanitation standards including proper food handling and cross contamination prevention
- Manage inventory and stock levels complete production logs monitor portion control and waste management
- Support recruitment onboarding and training of new team members
- Assist with labor forecasting and efficiency management
- Report to Senior Sous Chef and General Manager
- Support other Levy properties as needed
