Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial cooking or culinary certification
  • knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP standards
  • ability to manage food costs and inventory

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience or completion of a culinary apprenticeship or certification

  • experience managing food costs and stock levels

Job Duties

  • Executes and supervises food production activities
  • assumes responsibilities of Executive Chef when not available
  • supervises and coordinates kitchen helpers in food storage
  • conducts and supervises inventories
  • monitors material consumption and orders food and equipment
  • participates in menu development
  • maintains and updates catering manuals
  • executes countermeasures in case of customer complaints
  • supports training of kitchen helpers
  • maintains hygiene and safety standards
  • conducts quality control checks per HACCP
  • performs quality checks of received goods
  • ensures compliance with recipe specifications
  • organizes and directs the kitchen area
  • motivates and guides employees
  • enforces company values and management principles
  • implements and controls cost budget
  • participates in company initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing
