Job Requirements
- Must have five years of applicable foodservice experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge or associate's degree in Culinary Arts or related field with two years of foodservice experience
- possess leadership and managerial abilities including excellent organizational and communication skills
- understanding and commitment to equal access and equal opportunity
- American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified or certifiable as a Certified Culinarian or higher (CC or CPC)
- commitment to the mission of a comprehensive two-year college and community development
- must maintain appropriate professional certifications such as ServSafe Manager and ACF certifications
- ability to work flexible schedules including night and weekend shifts
- must pass pre-employment background checks including criminal background, motor vehicle, and sex offender registry checks
- must have legal authorization to work in the United States from day one

Job Duties
- Preparing and coordinating menus for daily food service and catering events on multiple campus locations
- maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- working flexible night and weekend shifts for campus events
- ensuring correct setup and staffing for events including floor plans and banquet preparation
- supervising and training kitchen team members in food preparation, presentation, and service
- ensuring food quality and proper recipe adherence for all foodservice outlets
- writing schedules, evaluating, and directing team members including work study and practicum students
- maintaining open communication between management and kitchen staff
- monitoring and controlling food and labor costs
- completing weekly inventories and maintaining compliance records
- ordering ingredients and supplies as needed
- maintaining kitchen and service equipment with timely repairs
- overseeing menu pricing and POS system procedures
- collaborating with CAHMI faculty, staff, and students to cater special events
- maintaining required professional certifications such as ServSafe Manager and American Culinary Federation certifications
- coordinating with Facilities Management and other departments for event support and cleanup
- assisting the Director of Campus Dining with maintaining and growing the reputation of CAHMI and UA-PTC
- promoting the college mission internally and externally
- performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned
