Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in culinary roles such as chef or line cook
- Serve Safe certification
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to read and write reports and correspondence
- Leadership skills for staff supervision
- Proficiency in basic math
- Computer literacy including Word, Excel and POS systems
- Effective communication in English
- Physical capability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, lift 40 pounds, and handle kitchen environment
- Ability to handle mental and emotional stress
- Flexibility in work schedule
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience as a chef/line cook
- Serve Safe certified
- Positive attitude and disposition
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction and resolve guest issues
- Leadership ability to supervise culinary staff
- Basic math skills including add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure
- Computer proficiency in Word and Excel and ability to learn company POS system
- Effective communication skills in English, bilingual in Spanish a plus
Job Duties
- Adhere to policies and procedures as set forth by the organization and ensure their practice throughout staff
- Supervise employees via display of a positive attitude and maintenance of a high level of motivation
- Lead by example and arrive to work on time and prepared for the shift
- Consistently deliver the highest quality of service via maintenance of food quality and standards of preparation
- Ensure communication between kitchen, FOH management, servers and guests is calm, clear and concise to provide smooth, well-coordinated service
- Assist in the development of menus and meal planning
- Maintain inventory and ordering necessary to operate menu on daily basis
