Job Requirements

  • Must have a minimum five years experience in culinary food service
  • Two years experience in a supervisory role
  • Active health card
  • Ability to work various kitchen stations independently
  • Ability to follow and execute recipes without supervision
  • Proficient in menu costing and order management
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Capable of prolonged standing and physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to tolerate noise, temperature, and air quality variations
  • Must comply with company policies, safety protocols, and chemical handling guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum five years experience in culinary food service

  • Active health card
  • Ability to work independently across all kitchen stations
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Proficient in menu costing and food ordering
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Oversee culinary production in designated kitchens
  • Direct stewarding requirements as needed
  • Assist Chefs with menu planning and execution
  • Supervise cooks, meal service, production, and stewards in absence of Chefs
  • Develop, mentor, and motivate line cooks
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, attendance documentation, inventories, and discipline
  • Assess and direct work in all kitchens
  • Write and cost menus
  • Order food items as directed
  • Control cost of sales and wage costs
  • Document menu changes, temperatures, and meeting information
  • Attend required meetings
  • Work all kitchen stations independently
  • Follow and execute all recipes without supervision
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
  • Ensure proper fire and ticket times
  • Replace daily requisitions and rotate and store them
  • Restock dishes and silverware as required
  • Fulfill management requests within capabilities
