Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Culinary degree is preferred but not required
- A minimum of two years of professional cooking experience preferably in a high-volume food service environment

Job Duties
- Oversee daily preparation and cooking of menu items to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
- Assist in menu item preparation, recipe adherence, and ingredient prep as needed
- Conduct daily line checks including food temperatures, freshness, and presentation standards
- Master all back-of-house line positions and step into any station as business demands
- Enforce impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
- Maintain waste, temperature and illness logs in compliance with health codes and company policy
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations
- Lead staff in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning procedures
- Monitor inventory usage, conduct regular counts, and report variances
- Implement waste control practices to minimize product loss
- Assist with ordering and receiving to ensure accuracy, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Partner with Chef de Cuisine to maintain smooth kitchen operations and mentor and train kitchen staff on recipes, prep methods, equipment use and safety protocols
- Provide input to the Chef de Cuisine on menu development, ingredient quality, and operational improvements
- Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of special events, seasonal promotions, and catering functions
- Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure events are executed seamlessly and on schedule
- Adapt quickly to event-specific menus, unique service styles, or higher production volumes
- Perform other duties within the department or other areas as assigned
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Observe and enforce all company policies, rules, and safety practices
