Job Requirements
- associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited culinary program preferred
- certification as a working chef (CWC) and ServSafe certification preferred
- minimum 3 years experience in high-volume production cooking required
- knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- strong organizational skills
- ability to lead, train, and coordinate kitchen staff
- commitment to safety, sanitation, and quality standards

Job Duties
- perform a wide variety of tasks and operations to prepare and cook food for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards
- demonstrate advanced food preparation techniques, planning production and specialty menus
- prepare entrees, casseroles, and complex dishes with multiple preparation steps
- maintain logs for taste and temperature to support quality improvement
- cook specialty and complex items using recipe-specific techniques ensuring quality results
- exhibit creativity and expertise in presentation and flavor
- prepare food to meet standards for catering, patient, and satellite programs
- organize workflow efficiently, coordinating food distribution and portions per order requirements
- maintain cleanliness and safety of the kitchen environment
- ensure proper storage, handling, and sanitation of food and equipment
- supervise and evaluate cooks, assign tasks, and adjust schedules as needed
- provide instruction and enforce standards, policies, and regulations
- recommend recipe and cooking improvements, track food production, and ensure quality
- perform other duties as assigned
