Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
  • knowledge of food quality, safety, and hygiene standards
  • ability to train and lead kitchen staff
  • good communication skills
  • ability to manage kitchen equipment and ensure maintenance
  • flexibility to work mid shifts primarily Monday through Friday

Job Qualifications

  • Requires at least 2-3 years in a related position
  • requires at least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • requires experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • requires verbal, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Train and lead kitchen personnel
  • supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities
  • estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • select and develop recipes and standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • oversee special catering events and may offer culinary instruction and or demonstrate culinary techniques
