Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Lead Cook or in a higher culinary leadership role
  • experience in fine dining cuisine styles
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • proven ability to lead and develop culinary teams
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • culinary degree or relevant professional certification preferred
  • experience with ordering and scheduling is a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of all hotel meals
  • ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards
  • comply with safety and sanitation standards and regulations
  • monitor team member productivity and performance
  • implement policies and procedures effectively
  • manage cost controls and overall kitchen profitability
  • create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
  • support team member development through supervision, training, counseling, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • foster a positive and collaborative team environment
