Job Requirements

  • Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience depending on formal degree or training
  • prior experience with catering operations is a plus
  • experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment particularly with large-scale catering events is highly desirable
  • multi-unit experience preferred
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable
  • must be experienced with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the internet

Job Duties

  • Work alongside the Executive Chef to manage kitchen operations and supervise culinary associates
  • ensure that all kitchen staff are trained and motivated to deliver exceptional service
  • assist the Executive Chef in planning and creating menus that meet the dietary needs of students and staff while maintaining variety, quality, and creativity
  • help manage cost controls and expenditures for the account, ensuring food costs are kept within budget while maintaining quality standards
  • produce and execute catering events, ensuring all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service meet high standards
  • collaborate with the company’s marketing and culinary teams to roll out new culinary programs and initiatives
  • oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring all meals are prepared to the highest standards, with attention to detail in presentation and garnishment
  • participate in client satisfaction programs and activities to ensure the dining experience exceeds expectations
