Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of culinary experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to lead a team
  • background in banquet and high-volume food service
  • strong communication skills
  • flexibility to work varied shifts
  • culinary degree or certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience as a sous chef, kitchen manager, or similar role
  • background in banquets and high-volume dining preferred
  • knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
  • ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team
  • culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required
  • hotel or Marriott brand experience a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead the kitchen by supervising and supporting cooks and stewards
  • assist the executive chef with menu planning and execution
  • train, coach, and motivate staff for consistency and quality
  • ensure food quality and safety by delivering food that meets brand standards and maintaining high sanitation standards
  • monitor guest satisfaction and make improvements
  • support banquets and restaurant by overseeing prep and service for events and partnering with service managers
  • manage operations including food and labor cost control, inventory monitoring, and waste reduction
