Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous culinary experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop culinary staff
  • Ability to manage inventory and kitchen supplies
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Skilled in writing schedules and handling disciplinary actions

Job Duties

  • Train all associates in the kitchen to perform their job duties effectively including plate presentation and display work
  • Write schedules, evaluate, and direct all personnel
  • Maintain open verbal and written communication between management and associates
  • Write and present disciplinary actions as needed
  • Provide associates with necessary tools and equipment
  • Take immediate action on kitchen problems
  • Participate in monthly department meetings, weekly staff and kitchen meetings, inventory checks, and the MOD program
  • Ensure all food served is high quality, properly prepared, and expeditiously delivered
  • Assist in setting goals, standards, and objectives for the kitchen
  • Supervise kitchen staff and sanitation associates in absence of Executive Chef
  • Maintain use records, roast meat charts, recipe cards
  • Prepare recipe cards and picture presentations for all menu items
  • Submit payroll hours to the Accounting Department on time
