Job Requirements

  • availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain well-paced mobility
  • ability to spend up to 8 hours standing or walking in kitchen and restaurant environment
  • ability to work with commercial kitchen equipment including stand mixers, ovens, and torches

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years of back of house experience including 1+ years of management experience
  • bachelor's degree or post-secondary culinary arts degree preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • advanced computer skills

Job Duties

  • support the chef de cuisine in daily kitchen operations
  • assist with employee hiring, scheduling, payroll, evaluations, and terminations
  • supervise kitchen mise en place for all stations
  • participate in menu planning and manage food production
  • train and work with cooks and sous chefs to ensure quality, speed, safety, and health standards
  • requisition and apportion food items to control food costs
  • verify sanitation and nutrition practices compliance
  • communicate menu changes, specials, and shortages to front of house
  • handle documentation and resolution of employee or guest incidents
  • perform other assigned duties
