Job Requirements

  • Able to work flexible hours and days
  • Minimum of three years related experience
  • Two year culinary arts degree preferred
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, food products, and food service equipment
  • Previous experience maintaining professional and respectful work relationships
  • Current Serv Safe Manager and Allergen certifications preferred or willing to complete both in the first 30 days

Job Duties

  • Oversee and supervise the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance, and conduct of the culinary team
  • Assign production duties, motivate team members, and help hire and train new staff
  • Collaborate with Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to develop recipes, plan menus and create specials
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, kitchen staff and managers in all departments
  • Practice safe and sanitary food handling techniques and enforce workstation and equipment safety and cleanliness
  • Find alternative ways to prepare meals/events when issues arise such as supplies running out, orders coming in late or equipment malfunctioning
  • Assist with inventory and monitoring food costs
  • Fill in for Executive Chef in their absence
