Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or related training equivalent in hospitality industry
- two or more years relevant work experience in similar scope and title
- luxury brand experience preferred
- food safety manager certification preferred or to be attained within 30 days
- ability to work in shared noisy kitchen environment
- ability to handle changing priorities and deadlines with professionalism
- ability to work in high temperature and humidity
- flexible schedule availability exceeding 40 hours weekly
- physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- ability to stand and travel during shifts

Job Duties
- Maintain a file of recipes including ingredients, portions, and preparation directions
- assist the Executive Chef in developing menus and recipe cards
- set portion control standards for each menu dish
- ensure all recipes are followed consistently
- assume kitchen responsibility in absence of Executive Chef
- monitor daily inventory levels and quality
- manage food and labor costs within budget
- arrange staff training on equipment use and cleaning
- organize monthly kitchen meetings
- participate in performance appraisals and discipline
- assist in staff development and coaching
- attend mandatory meetings
- maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- complete daily kitchen walkthroughs
- assist in tracking food costs and monthly inventory
