Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years cooking experience
  • experience as a sous chef preferred
  • experience managing food inventory preferred
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • experience in food preparation and production
  • ability to meet health requirements
  • willing to undergo 2-step TB test

  • food preparation and production experience required
  • ability to meet all health requirements
  • must be willing to take 2-step TB test

Job Duties

  • preparing meals
  • supports a disciplined environment and provides supervision in the absence of the Culinary Services Director
  • manages food inventory appropriately and sets up work areas/stations with all necessary supplies in advance of meal service
  • performs portion control and minimizes waste to keep cost within forecasted ranges for recipes
  • understands and maintains all necessary documentation including but not limited to time/temperature logs, menus, invoices
  • upholds cleanliness standards
  • helps serve residents
  • train and mentor new employees
  • opportunity for growth to Culinary Services Director
