Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of culinary experience
  • Ability to work full-time including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive culinary experience preferably in fine dining, private club, or hotel environments
  • Graduate of an accredited culinary program preferred
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, sanitation, and food safety procedures
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods
  • Professional appearance and commitment to club standards

Job Duties

  • Assist the Sous Chef in daily kitchen setup and organization
  • Ensure stations are stocked, prepped, and ready for service
  • Maintain quality and consistency of food production and presentation
  • Support banquet and special event production
  • Cover stations as needed during absences or high business levels
  • Monitor portion control, product rotation, and waste management
  • Uphold sanitation and food safety standards
  • Follow and enforce hygiene, safety, and COVID-19 precautionary practices
  • Clean, sanitize, and organize equipment and storage areas
  • Lead by example with professionalism and positive attitude
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff
  • Promote teamwork and clear communication
  • Participate in daily lineups and shift reviews
  • Provide feedback on staff performance and equipment needs
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
  • Maintain accurate labeling and storage of food products
  • Support inventory, ordering, and waste tracking
  • Attend club meetings, training sessions, and tastings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
