The Safe Credit Union Convention Center in downtown Sacramento is a premier venue that reopened in the spring of 2021 after an extensive renovation and expansion. This renovation has transformed the Convention Center into a state-of-the-art facility offering 240,000 square feet of meeting and event space, complemented by a new outdoor activities plaza designed to take full advantage of Sacramento's favorable climate. Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Skill in supervising others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience in a commercial kitchen setting
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Familiarity with fundamental cooking techniques
  • Ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Participate as part of culinary leadership team to supervise culinary department for food preparation
  • Supervise daily set-up of department stations
  • Ensure work areas are stocked accordingly
  • Maintain product consistency by inspection and tasting of seasonings, portions and appearance
  • Ensure adherence to Sodexo Live! standards for food quality
  • Train kitchen staff to strengthen culinary skills and maintain kitchen safety
  • Monitor and organize flow of activity within kitchen to support overall operation
