Job Requirements

  • Certification or college degree in culinary arts preferred
  • Minimum three years experience as a chef
  • Maintains current food services sanitation certificate
  • ServeSafe certified
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
  • Must pass drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
  • Covid-19 and influenza vaccination if mandated by law

Job Duties

  • Lead daily food production and preparation and ensure all meals meet quality standards
  • Responsible for food presentation emphasizing creativity and proper plating
  • Maintain portion control and cost-effectiveness within budgeted per resident day
  • Engage with residents during mealtime to enhance dining experiences and address concerns
  • Provide leadership and direction in the Executive Chef's absence ensuring hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Manage kitchen operations including staff supervision, inventory, and ordering supplies
  • Collaborate with dining team for special events, banquets, and community activities involving food service
