Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of culinary or kitchen management experience
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to manage and supervise kitchen staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings or evenings as needed
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of culinary or kitchen management experience in high-volume foodservice
- Experience in K-12, institutional, or contract dining preferred
- Strong catering and special events leadership skills
- Knowledge of scratch cooking, batch production, and food cost controls
- Understanding of food trends, seasonal ingredients, and sustainable practices
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations including food preparation and production
- Supervise back-of-house staff and support training and mentoring
- Support cost control initiatives through inventory management and minimizing food waste
- Develop and implement menus aligned with culinary standards, student preferences, and nutritional guidelines
- Lead or support catered events ensuring quality food, presentation, and service
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP and allergy protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
