Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum relevant culinary experience
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and internet
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • progressive culinary or kitchen management experience dependent on formal degree or training
  • catering experience preferred
  • experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking practices
  • comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • ability to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates in the culinary department
  • support daily food preparation and cooking tasks
  • ensure food quality, sanitation, and presentation standards are met
