Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years culinary experience in a supervisory role
- strong organizational and multitasking skills

Job Duties
- Train and validate all culinary team members through Sterling's kitchen training materials
- maintain a fun and professional work environment grounded in company values and guiding principles
- support new team member onboarding and orientation to the Sterling Way
- ensure ongoing food quality assurance and standards per team member
- maintain a standardized training program for all positions and keep prep and service recipes current
- provide regular feedback to Chef de Cuisine on team member performance
- cross-train culinary team members on all aspects of the line
- support Chef de Cuisine and management team in all café priorities
- ensure 100% adherence to menu implementations and procedural changes
- lead by example in maintaining standards every shift
- assist in running feature programs within Sterling Food Philosophy
- maintain a guest-friendly environment at all times
- perform dress for success procedures before and after each shift
- ensure cook times are adhered to and communicated
- conduct continuing café education on food specs and standards through pre-shift meetings
- assist with weekly inventories and review vendor pricing
- check orders to standard and manage par levels
- improve year-over-year café performance
- maintain back-of-house maintenance and equipment repair log
- keep kitchen and walk-in clean and organized
- visually inspect food deliveries and use freshest products
- monitor food receiving, storage, and rotation per health regulations
- rotate food products to minimize spoilage and waste
- uphold industry-leading safety and sanitation standards
