Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a culinary or kitchen management role
- strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- ability to manage budgets and financial targets
- proficiency in kitchen management systems such as CTUIT and Google Drive
- effective leadership and mentoring abilities
- excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to maintain a positive and respectful workplace environment
- willing and able to occasionally travel
- physical ability to meet the demands of the role including standing, walking, lifting up to 100 lbs, and manual dexterity
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- strong leadership and team management skills
- comprehensive knowledge of food safety and health regulations
- demonstrated ability to manage kitchen financials including food cost control and labor management
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency with kitchen management software (such as CTUIT)
- ability to multitask and work under pressure
- culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred but not mandatory
- commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Job Duties
- Support the chef in running all back-of-house aspects of the restaurant
- assist in overall sales and profitability and exceed budgeted financial benchmarks
- be a dynamic leader and role model of the restaurant
- maintain a level of professionalism that proudly reflects the brand
- maintain a positive and respectful work environment at all times
- support chef in hiring qualified team members who reflect the brand
- lead, train, motivate and mentor all team members
- maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the kitchen
- set the tone for the staff every shift for service
- follow all systems and policies
- comply with all applicable laws and guidelines in respect to federal, state and local agencies
