Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a culinary or kitchen management role
  • strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • ability to manage budgets and financial targets
  • proficiency in kitchen management systems such as CTUIT and Google Drive
  • effective leadership and mentoring abilities
  • excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to maintain a positive and respectful workplace environment
  • willing and able to occasionally travel
  • physical ability to meet the demands of the role including standing, walking, lifting up to 100 lbs, and manual dexterity

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • comprehensive knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • demonstrated ability to manage kitchen financials including food cost control and labor management
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency with kitchen management software (such as CTUIT)
  • ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred but not mandatory
  • commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Job Duties

  • Support the chef in running all back-of-house aspects of the restaurant
  • assist in overall sales and profitability and exceed budgeted financial benchmarks
  • be a dynamic leader and role model of the restaurant
  • maintain a level of professionalism that proudly reflects the brand
  • maintain a positive and respectful work environment at all times
  • support chef in hiring qualified team members who reflect the brand
  • lead, train, motivate and mentor all team members
  • maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the kitchen
  • set the tone for the staff every shift for service
  • follow all systems and policies
  • comply with all applicable laws and guidelines in respect to federal, state and local agencies
