Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Associate degree (A.A.) in culinary or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years culinary experience
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions effectively
  • Strong mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, computing rates, ratios, and percent
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff and resolve conflicts diplomatically
  • Ability to read and interpret English documents
  • ServSafe certified
  • Completion of Alcohol Awareness training
  • Must qualify for necessary licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department
  • Support and administer operational goals
  • Monitor achievement of performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager on scheduling concerns
  • Produce menu items as per restaurant standards
  • Follow all prep lists and ensure kitchens are stocked and ready for service
  • Support compliance to departmental budgets
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members
  • Address customer service issues as they arise
  • Assist with maintaining cost control methods and inventory monitoring
  • Assist Chef de Cuisine with administrative duties including attendance records maintenance
  • Maintain quality assurance to meet health department and customer service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and report potential issues
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
