Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior food service experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time hours including occasional nights and weekends
  • completion or willingness to complete sanitation training
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and manage a team
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • physical ability to perform duties
  • ability to follow instructions and handle stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic

Job Duties

  • produce and maintain work schedules
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production quality and safety according to policies
  • ensure safe and organized food storage
  • maintain serving schedules as per menu specifications
  • uphold sanitary standards following health codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders as needed
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel and promote employee growth and teamwork
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain maintenance logs on equipment
  • complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
  • fill in for absent employees
  • oversee catering event preparations and timely delivery
  • work occasional nights and weekends for catered events
  • attend food service staff meetings
  • maintain communication with staff through various channels
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
