Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food service or related supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to stand and move for extended periods
  • Basic math skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • Ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • Maintain serving schedules and food service per menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary conditions following health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, counsel, promote growth and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain maintenance logs on equipment
  • Ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Multitask proficiently
  • Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • Attend food service meetings with staff
  • Maintain communication with staff
  • Perform cashier duties as needed
  • Promote good public relations
